Disciples of Mercy operates several income generating activities (IGA) to support our ministries. Our aim is to become self-sustained in each project. Check back often for updates on current and new projects. |

Fish farming is done using fresh water which is readily available. This is a viable project considering the population that depends on fish as a protein food in this region. DOM has already setup fish ponds that act as income generating activities for HIV Support Groups. With your support we can expand this activity to boost the livelihood of people living with HIV in our area and improve economic growth. |

The children from our special unit together with our youth group and the widows under our HIV home based care programme produce African design beads from locally available materials. The sales of such produce enhances creativity and self-sustainability. The proceeds go toward the HIV home based care programme, the special unit school fund and our entrepreneurship programme for the youth. To find out more email us at dom@africaonline.co.ke |

In keeping local chickens we are able to produce eggs for sale through our community depot in support of our community development programmes, and it provides income to a number of beneficiaries from the target groups that DOM is involved with. |

We supply our local community with the 100% pure honey naturally harvested from our support group members so that they can register with the National Hospital Fund for hospital coverage. Our horticultural project is currently growing tomatoes, sweet potatoes and Rosella which is a natural antioxidant and most beneficial for improvement of nutrition to HIV+ clients.
